Our top priority is providing the puppies with both mental and physical stimulation.

The Puppies First Weeks with Us

The Puppies' First 8 Weeks With Us

Our puppies are an integral part of our daily lives and quickly get accustomed to other dogs, people, various scents, and sounds. We place great emphasis on exposing the puppies to a range of sounds and movements, which is a key part of their early development and sense of security. We work methodically to create a safe and balanced environment where the puppies can develop at their own pace. Our puppies are raised on high-quality food to ensure optimal health and growth. We also start basic training, such as nail clipping, bathing, and introduction to the hairdryer and brushing, to give them a good start in life and ease future grooming.

I am a certified dog breeder and work full-time caring for my puppies and dogs. I spend all my time with them to ensure they receive all the attention, love, and training they need to have the best possible start in life. My work is characterized by care and attention to detail. As breeders, we offer support and guidance, and we value a lasting relationship with our puppy buyers. We are committed to each puppy's development and are always available to answer questions and provide advice, even after the puppies have moved to their new homes. For us, it is important to be there and follow the dogs' progress.

Our puppies spend as much time outdoors as possible when the weather allows.

At around 5 weeks of age, we take them outside for the first time so they can get used to being outdoors, adapt to external sounds, and start their house-training. We see this as an important part of their socialization and early learning. This is a significant milestone in their lives, and we do everything we can to make it a positive and safe experience. We place great importance on observing each puppy's reactions and development during these early weeks. Depending on the season, the puppies are usually accustomed to relieving themselves on grass by 8 weeks of age – even if they are not fully house-trained, it’s an excellent start. We also begin training them to go on command with the word "go potty," and most puppies have learned this by 8 weeks of age.

Physical and mental stimulation is also crucial during this period. Here, the puppies have access to an agility course, tunnel, tarp, ball pit, sandbox, dog playground, swings, and a balance board. These activities help develop the puppies' confidence and ability to handle various situations. Of course, they also get to explore the world outside the enclosure in the garden. We introduce the puppies to a variety of environments and surfaces to prepare them for their future lives. Different surfaces are familiar to our puppies. These tools help develop their motor skills, accustom them to different sounds, and, most importantly, contribute to a happy puppyhood.

You are warmly welcome to visit us when the puppies are at least 5-6 weeks old.

Until then, the mother dog needs peace and quiet with as little stress as possible. We prioritize the mother’s well-being during the first weeks to ensure a calm and secure environment. After five weeks, it is positive for the puppies to have plenty of social contacts. Earlier visits are not necessary, partly due to the risk of infection but also because it is difficult to assess the puppies' personalities before that time.

Before six weeks of age, it is hard to distinguish the puppies regarding temperament, personality, and appearance. As they age, their personalities and traits become more apparent. We place great value on observing these changes carefully to match the right puppy with the right home. A puppy that seems most lively one week may, a few days later, appear more reserved. Therefore, it is important to base conclusions about the puppies' traits on multiple observations over time.

We perform a mental evaluation when the puppies are around 7 weeks old.

We conduct a temperament assessment (Mental Description) when the puppies are around 7 weeks old. This can help you choose the puppy that best fits into your life. The temperament assessment provides a deeper understanding of each puppy's unique personality and characteristics. For example, it gives insight into how social the puppy is with strangers and how it behaves in different situations. The dog's behavior is influenced by both breed characteristics and individual personality. The dog's playfulness is also evaluated in this assessment. Read more about this on the " Mental Description " page.

When the puppies are 8 weeks old, we visit the veterinarian for a thorough examination, and each future owner receives documentation from this checkup. Additionally, the puppies receive their first vaccination along with a vaccination certificate, are microchipped in the neck, and a passport is issued if needed.

After this, the puppies can move to their new homes at the earliest. Sometimes we prefer the puppies to stay with us a bit longer for their healthy development, so they are fully ready to face the world. When they finally move, their real lives begin with their new families, which is the most important moment in their lives. We hope that you will experience at least as much love, laughter, and joy from them as we do every day. Their little paws and sparkling eyes will fill your heart with warmth and your home with happiness. Life becomes so much more wonderful when you have a loyal and loving four-legged friend by your side, a friend who is always there for you.
